I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of MD, specifically Delmar, a town which is half in MD and half in DE. A sign marks the entry into town stating, “Delmar, the town too big for one state”. My elementary school was on the MD side, my high school on the DE side, therefore I went with my classmates to the University of DE upon graduation. Her entire life has revolved around the military as her father served in the Army, and her husband Al is currently stationed at Ft. Bragg, where he expects to retire.
